Used in the management and treatment of Mild to moderate infections (pneumonia) caused by susceptible strains of the designated microorganisms in the specific conditions eg, acute bacterial exacerbations of COPD, acute bacterial sinusitis due to H. influenzae, Moraxella catarrhalis or Strep pneumoniae, community-acquired pneumonia due to Chlamydophila pneumoniae, H. influenzae, Mycoplasma pneumoniae or Strep pneumoniae in patients appropriate for oral therapy. Pharyngitis/tonsillitis caused by Strep pyogenes as alternative in individuals who cannot use 1st-line therapy, uncomplicated skin &, skin structure infections due to Staph aureus, Strep pyogenes or Strep agalactiae, urethritis &, cervicitis due to Chlamydia trachomatis or Neisseria gonorrhoeae. Genital ulcer disease in men due to H. ducreyi (chancroid).
